Afternoon Storms for the Weekend

The weekend will be hot and steamy. For Saturday and Sunday there will be a mix of sun and clouds, with scattered showers and storms each afternoon. The best chance for storms will be on Sunday afternoon. The storms may produce heavy rain, small hail, and gusty winds. The afternoon highs will be in the lower 90’s, and lows in the lower 70’s. There will be a trough of low pressure in the southeast over the first part of next week, so the unsettled weather will continue into Monday. On Monday a good chance for storms in the afternoon, with highs in the lower 90’s. As we end the month of July the tropics remain quite. I don’t see any tropical development for the next several days. Have a good and safe weekend!
