Cold Front Arrives Thursday

Temperatures have warmed up nicely, but that is about to change as colder air is poised to move into the area.

A cold front will approach southeast Georgia tonight, increasing our clouds. Some rain and isolated thunder will occur in north Georgia during the evening, but weaken as it travels to the east overnight and Thursday morning. It looks like our area will just see some brief light showers in the morning as the front arrives. Behind the front, skies will clear Thursday afternoon and it will turn windy and cooler. Temperatures reaching the upper 60s are likely to fall some in the afternoon.

It will be much colder Thursday night with lows reaching the upper 30s. Expect full sun on Friday and highs struggling to reach the low 60s. A light freeze and frost is likely Friday night with lows in the low 30s. The weekend will feature sunshine and some clouds with highs ranging from the upper 60s Saturday to the low 70s Sunday.
