Cooler and Breezy for Friday

The combination of a new area of high pressure building in to our north and "Noel" passing well to our east Friday will produce breezy conditions for our area, mainly along the coast. Otherwise, expect a good amount of sunshine and cooler temperatures for Friday, with highs struggling to get above 70. Friday night lows will drop to 45-50 under mostly clear skies. The weekend will be sunny with highs in the low 70s and a chilly Saturday night low in the 42-45 range.

Tropics:

"Noel" has become a category one hurricane and will continue to move quickly north -northeast on Friday, away from the Bahamas and staying well to our east. Still the combination of north flow behind the storm and new high pressure building in could produce gale force gusts over the outer portions of the coastal waters. The storm itself will transition to and strengthen as a very large winter-type low as it heads north, and latest track models show it bringing very windy conditions to portions of the northeast Saturday and possibly tracking into the Canadian Maritimes Saturday night with hurricane force winds and heavy rain.
