A Mild Finish to the Week

Temperatures will continue to run well above average Friday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s under a mix of sun and clouds.

A storm system will move quickly out of the Southern Plains Saturday and head up west of the mountains Saturday night. A trailing cold front will likely bring some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm through the area, then it will clear out and turn much cooler for Sunday.

Highs Saturday ahead of the system should reach the low 70s. Temperatures on Sunday will not rise much from morning lows in the low 50s, likely topping out in the upper 50s, which will feel colder due to gusty northwest winds.
