Another Hot Week

Temperatures are heading back into the mid to upper 90s this week. Some areas, mainly west of Interstate 95, could touch 100 a couple days. The heat index could reach near 105 Tuesday afternoon, so again be careful if doing anything outdoors. We have seen isolated thunderstorms heading into Monday evening, but for most of the week rain chances look minimal.

Tropics:

A disturbance near the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula will move west-northwest towards mainland Mexico or possibly far southern Texas through the middle of the week. Some development of this system is possible before it reaches land.

The system in the far eastern Atlantic is now Tropical Depression Four. It will soon be classified as Tropical Storm Dean. This system will continue to move generally west for a while, likely arriving at the Lesser Antilles around Saturday. It may be a hurricane by the time it reaches there.
