Hot and Humid to Finish the Week

Temperatures will reach the low 90s the next couple days with sunshine and some clouds. Rain chances look minimal on Thursday, with a slight chance Friday afternoon. A cold front will push through by Saturday, and some moisture behind the front could result in scattered downpours. The front should move just to our south and allow highs to drop into the upper 80s for Sunday and Labor Day.

Weak low pressure well offshore will likely drift south the next day or so then meander east of Florida and north of the Bahamas through the weekend. Some development of this system into a tropical storm is possible in the next few days, but the above-mentioned front will keep the system offshore. The system should eventually pull northeast, if not this weekend, then by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. The combination of this system to our east-southeast and high pressure developing to our north this weekend may benefit the area by causing breezy conditions Sunday and Labor Day, making it feel more pleasant.
