Hottest Week of the Summer

A giant ridge of high pressure will control our weather through the end of the week. Besides plenty of sun, we will experience temperatures reaching the upper 90s each day through at least Friday. The combination of the temperatures and humidity will produce heat index values near 110 during the afternoons. Please exercise caution if going outdoors for any length of time; drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade. Rain chances will be very isolated for much of the week. It looks like we should see some slight relief from the extreme heat by the end of the weekend.
