A Wet Friday

We will see some much needed rainfall today. For today, more clouds than sun with showers and storms likely. The rain will be heavy at times; some areas may receive 1-2” of rain. The afternoon high will be near 86. For Saturday, a mix of sun and clouds with scattered storms in the afternoon; highs will be near 92. Sunday will be the best day of the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds, and afternoon highs near 93. The heat will return in full force by the first of next week. We will see afternoon highs back into the mid 90’s by Monday into the end of next week.

Tropics:

The low pressure we have been watching all week is now in the central Caribbean Sea. The flare up of thunderstorms yesterday morning has decreased. I don’t see this developing into a tropical depression. The wave of low pressure is moving quickly to the west, so it will reach Central America before the low has a chance to develop.

Have a good weekend!
