Higher Chance of Rain

A weak front to the northwest will approach the area Friday, then stall out near us over the weekend. Low pressure is not developing offshore as previously expected, which would have helped bring drier air into the area. Therefore, rain chances are going back up for much of the holiday weekend. Temperatures may touch 90 on Friday, with a good chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 80s Saturday through Monday, possibly the mid 80s one day if there is enough cloud cover. Expect scattered downpours, with the best coverage during the afternoons.
