A Hot Work Week

The heat and humidity will be here for the next four to five days. A Heat Advisory is in effect for today. For Monday, mostly sunny, hot, and humid with the afternoon highs near 98. The heat index will be 105-110. Tonight will be mostly clear, warm and muggy with morning lows near 76. Tuesday through Wednesday will continue to be hazy, hot, and humid with mostly sunny skies and the afternoon highs near 98. By Friday, a few clouds in the afternoon will allow the temperatures to be a little cooler, with highs in the mid 90’s. There will be a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms all week long. Stay cool this week!!

Tropics:

The tropics are quiet to start the week. There are a few tropical waves in the open Atlantic that are producing thunderstorms. The tropical waves don’t show signs of becoming organized. I don’t see tropical development for the next few days.
