Another hot day on tap with heat index this afternoon near 110-115. Today will be hazy, hot, and humid with the afternoon high near 99. The record high for Savannah today is 100, which was set in 1899. We’ll see if we beat that record. For tonight, mostly clear and muggy; lows will be near 78. The hot weather will continue for most of the week with afternoon highs in the upper 90’s and lows in the upper 70’s. There will be a little cool down by Sunday with highs near 93. I don’t see much of a chance for rain this week, but there will be a slight chance for thunderstorms away from the coast each afternoon.

I don’t see any tropical development for the next few days. There are a few areas to watch, but none show signs of tropical development.
