Very Hot Temperatures Today

* Heat Advisory * We will have another hot day. There will be a lot of sun and very hot temperatures. The afternoon high will be near 98 with the heat index near 105-110. For tonight, clear skies the low will be near 74. The temperatures will remain hot into Thursday with highs in the mid 90’s. A tropical wave in the Bahamas this morning will bring rain to Florida, but it will bring our area an onshore flow. The onshore flow will allow the temperatures to be cooler over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday there will a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the lower 90’s. There will be a chance for showers and storms in the afternoon for Saturday and Sunday. Stay cool today!!

Tropics:

Hurricane Dean:

Dean will make landfall later today in Mexico. Dean tracked across the Yucatan yesterday, which weakened Dean to a Category one. Dean will bring heavy rain to Mexico for the next few days.

Tropical Wave:

The tropical wave that stretches from the Bahamas to Cuba will move west at 15-20 mph. The upper level winds are not favorable for tropical development.
