Storms Possible Today

After the hot weather over the last few days we will have some cooler temperatures with a chance for showers and storms. For today, we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds with scattered showers and storms. The high will be near 93. For tonight, partly cloudy with evening showers and storms, the low will be near 74. We will hold on to chances for afternoon storms for Friday with highs in the lower 90’s. Saturday and Sunday we will have a mix of sun and clouds with a chance for showers and storms in the afternoon. The high temperatures this weekend will be in the lower 90’s. We need some rain in Savannah - we are 7.50” below average for the year.

Tropics:

Dean: Dean made his second landfall yesterday in Mexico. Dean is moving over Mexico producing heavy rain. If Dean can hold together some circulation, he will have a chance to re-develop in the Pacific Ocean.

The tropics are very quiet. I don’t see any tropical development for the next few days.
